TECHNOLOGY 

PIKE surfboard construction is very innovative and out of normal ones lately. I have dedicated the last 10 years very much to testing and research.Besides myself , boards have been tested also by pro surfers in the WQS. You will never find at the moment a board construction in a surfshop around the world like those ones I do now. I believe can be very hard and difficult to adopt those type of construction if a surfboard builder has a big quantity production vision and not quality production goals. Actually my surfboard building process slow down the normal production time.

Usually it takes 8 hours for an average board to be made , my simplest board construction takes 12 hours and 18 for the more complicated one. Projecting boards has been a long journey and it is still keep going. In the beginning it was all manual, with rocker template and outline template , lately it is done through a more accurate way : a projecting software which in my opinion is the best innovation in our work. My surfboard data bank is always in my pocket now.By the way honestly, I don’t believe there is much more to discover yet in the shaping field comparing it to the huge innovation there was lately in material types to build a board. 

The global aerospace industry is using a lot of new composites materials and cores for their productions. Those can make a big difference in performances if they will be used in the surfboards production as well. I decided then to pick up some of those new materials and mix together with good resin and cloth to give some diefferent options to customers looking for an high perf surfboards.
